Malaika Kim Architect is a practice uniquely versed in traditional and contemporary architecture.
Our design often pursues the balance of these divergent ideals, seeing where one informs the other.
Educated in the rigorous Beaux-Arts pedagogy, Malaika received a Bachelor in Architecture with honors at the University of Notre Dame. She earned her Master in Architecture at Yale University.
Her professional career began at Robert A.M. Stern Architects (RAMSA), where she quickly rose from Designer to Project Manager for large scale academic projects. She later honed an expertise in High-End Residential and Small Commercial work as an Associate at Sawyer/Berson and as Senior Architect at Russell Riccardi Architect.
Her professional work is widely published including Architectural Digest and Elle Decor, and her work has received the Palladio Award and the Hamptons House & Gardens Awards. Her writing has been featured on the Urban Omnibus.
